At times cockroaches make way to our homes no matter how clean we keep our house. Most of the time people are unable to get rid of them completely even after using insecticides or contacting a bug control center. They often wonder how to get rid of them. Here are some of the simple tips that would definitely be helpful in this regard. These repellents can easily be made at home with the minimum of cost and prove quite effective.
Use of lemon
Get 4 lemons and have their juice extracted including the peel in a glass. Add this juice to 2 liters of water and wash the floor with this solution. You will notice cockroaches running away from that place because they hate the lemon odor. To make it more effective, if you could sprinkle lemon juice on the floor near the door and windows, this would also help get rid of ants.
Coffee is one of the favorite drinks of the world and this could also help you get rid of cockroaches from your home. Pour a small quantity of ground coffee on the floor when you notice the presence of cockroaches. You will notices that worms will disappear from there in no time.
Garlic, onion and red pepper
Take one liter of water in a jug. Add a piece of garlic, one teaspoon of red pepper and paste of one onion. Marinate this mixture for about an hour. Later add one teaspoon of liquid soap. Pour this solution to all those places when you find accumulation of cockroaches. You will definitely get rid of them in no time.
Baking soda and sugar
Mix equal quantities of baking soda and sugar and add to those places which where you find the cockroaches. They will be attracted to sugar but baking soda will act as killing agent for them.
Sugar and borax
Take one portion sugar and three portion borax and mix them. Borax is actually used in the insecticide sprays while sugar works as bait. No harm is expected to humans by this mixture. Even then place it at a place where kids should not touch it by hands. Only in a few hours, cockroaches will be wiped out from that place.
